Game settings

Record your difficulty and whether this is your first journey or a later playthrough. Casual Mode excludes Closure. Use the guide's Normal-mode route for a planned full-achievement campaign; do not assume a late difficulty change restores eligibility. Starting vocation, future vocation and pawn roles are separate decisions.

These controls record your game and guide preferences. Change actual game settings in the game.

Choose a vocation path without choosing the finale

Build a vocation path and a supporting pawn party. Keep the finale undecided; reveal its conditions and irreversible transitions only when ready.

Choose a vocation & pawn planSuggested plan: Thief: mobile weak-point damage and Plunder

Find a style that fits your priorities

Choose your own combat job and build three pawns to cover what it lacks. You can change unlocked vocations at a guild and retain learned skills/augments; a new vocation needs suitable equipment, purchased skills and practice rather than a new character.

Reorder the comparison without changing your game settings or story preferences.

Immediate evasive melee and material gathering

Thief: mobile weak-point damage and Plunder

Begin with daggers and short evasions, then add weak-point attacks and tools that pull small threats into reach. Plunder makes ordinary combat useful for material gathering as well as progression. Formless Feint is an optional learned defensive tool with current stamina costs and timing rewards; the plan never depends on leaving invulnerability running forever.

Learning curveModerate

Dodging, climbing stamina and weak-point positioning require attention, even when dagger attacks are quick.

Choose this when you wantA strong offensive starting vocation · Climbing and striking monster weak points · Gathering extra materials during ordinary travel

Reconsider if: You dislike close-range camera and movement; You want ranged magic to solve every flying target.

What you actually do

A practical rhythm, from preparation to payoff.

1
Reach a weak point

Use a short evasion and choose a safe angle, then attack a reachable weak point. Climb only when the stamina reserve supports both the attack and a safe dismount.

2
Recover deliberately

Finish the short exchange before stamina is empty. Use Plunder when its gathering role matters, and treat the learned defensive stance as an active tool with a cost.

Illustrative play example
Illustrative encounter

Illustrative scenario: a cyclops staggers after the party pressures its legs. You climb during the real opening, strike the exposed weak point with an appropriate dagger skill, and dismount before stamina empties. A Mage covers recovery while an Archer handles harpies that interrupt the route. On ordinary small enemies, a pull or off-balance setup creates a simpler finish and a Plunder opportunity. This explains the build’s practical strength without counting permanent Formless protection or promising a fixed boss kill time.

FROM A REALISTIC START TO THE PAYOFF

Your progression path

Read in order. Each stage explains what makes the next step practical.

1Opening
Daggers and a support pawn

Choose Thief immediately and create a Mage main pawn. Upgrade affordable daggers as you travel, use short evasions and finish off-balance small enemies with Twin Fangs. Avoid long climbs before you understand stamina and where a monster can shake you off.

2First payoff
Skull Splitter and practical utility

Purchase the upgraded attack skills when vocation ranks allow them. Implicate can bring eligible targets into reach; Plunder serves a gathering purpose rather than automatically replacing every damage skill. Six current weapon slots allow a broader toolkit, but button access does not replace learning one repeatable exchange.

3Mature
Enhanced daggers and timed defense

Later dagger upgrades and Dwarven enhancement can support knockdown pressure. Formless Feint’s current stamina/timing behavior requires deliberate use; it does not justify endless passive exposure. Keep curatives and a withdrawal plan, and train maister skills only when the relevant quest fits your campaign route.

Strengths, tradeoffs & requirements

Strengths
  • Offensive identity works immediately
  • Fast attacks punish reachable weak points
  • Plunder can help supply enhancement materials
Tradeoffs
  • Melee and climbing expose the player
  • Skill burst and defense consume stamina
  • Flying or inaccessible targets need support
Plan around these requirements
  • Enhanced daggers
  • Purchased vocation/core skills
  • Mage support and stamina curatives
  • Optional Formless Feint teaching

Pawns

The supporting roles that make this style work.

Mage with Palladium, Halidom and healing

Protects and recovers the party; inspect actual equipped skills and replace support gaps before travel.

Archer

Provides physical anti-air and reachable weak-point damage when your own kit lacks it.

Sorcerer

Adds elemental area damage when physical melee cannot efficiently clear the group.

CARRIED INTO YOUR WALKTHROUGH

What to prioritize

  1. Upgrade daggers before remote equipment shopping
  2. Include stamina/disengage coaching at the first large monster
  3. Keep Plunder and defensive teaching as explicit choices

Can you change your mind? Change at a vocation guild once the vocation is unlocked. Pay its initial discipline unlock and skill costs as needed; later switching retains learned skills and augments. Obtain appropriate weapons/armour, recheck equipped skills, and accept a training period before judging the new kit.

Specialist recommendation

Established base-game offensive option with TU3.2 defense correction. Dark Arisen relic ceilings and first-day Hard Mode performance are not ranked.

Version context: TU3.2 six-slot changes were checked against Capcom’s release and a published patch-note mirror; the official update page returned 403. Dark Arisen and TU4.0/Hard Mode launched October 9, 2026. These are current base-kit recommendations; expansion relic combinations and Hard Mode rankings remain provisional.

Research and recommendation basis · 5 references

Thief, Magick Archer, Sorcerer and the revised Spearhand/Warfarer offer strong offensive or coverage options. Fighter is a practical first-run alternative; Mage and Trickster remain deliberate support identities. All ten existing vocations are covered; duplicate advanced IDs are consolidated without pretending equal damage or a solved expansion meta.

Base campaign · Dark Arisen in progress

Twelve vocation plans with pawn support, major base-game outcomes, Unmoored preparation and a current 60-name achievement checklist.

Version context: TU4.0. All twelve base-vocation plans retain the current six-slot and skill restrictions. Magick Archer now starts with Mage consistently in both the selector and walkthrough.

Builds & playstyles · 12 plans reviewed

Checked 2026-10-10: TU4.0.

All twelve base-vocation plans retain the current six-slot and skill restrictions. Magick Archer now starts with Mage consistently in both the selector and walkthrough.

Source review of base vocation kits, not a gameplay benchmark. Dark Arisen relic optimization and new Hard Mode rankings are not established; exact TU3.2 mechanics use a patch-note mirror alongside Capcom’s release confirmation.

Reviewed plans and corrections
  • Thief — forgiving mobile damage and theft · Retained. Current Feint stamina/counter loop is already reflected.
  • Advanced hybrid — Mystic Spearhand bolt, counter and party control · Retained. Charged, breakable party protection is already described.
  • Magick Archer — ranged control with safe pawn recovery · Updated. Six-skill base kit is viable; align profile opening with the detailed Mage creation route.
  • Sorcerer — elemental control and maister spells · Retained. Flare does not amplify another Flare; current casting limitations are present.
  • Fighter — shield-led exploration · Retained. Six-slot frontline kit has no identified obsolete dependency.
  • Archer — weak-point control and special arrows · Retained. Ammo-dependent skills and six slots remain explicit.
  • Mage — active party support · Retained. Six weapon skills plus separate core actions are legal.
  • Warrior — heavy stagger and deliberate counters · Retained. Six-slot melee kit remains legal.
  • Trickster — direct the pawn team · Retained. Current control/support kit remains compatible; direct pawn damage dependence is explicit.
  • Advanced hybrid — Warfarer dagger, magick bow and recovery · Retained. Rearmament plus five borrowed skills, shared across weapons; no other-vocation maister skills.
  • Advanced — Thief into Warfarer: daggers, magick bow and recovery · Retained. Same legal shared-slot restriction; no per-weapon six-skill fiction.
  • Advanced — Fighter into Mystic Spearhand control · Retained. Current chargeable protection and resource limits already incorporated.
Outdated or unsupported advice excluded
  • Warfarer uses one shared set of slots and cannot borrow other vocations’ maister skills.
  • Flare self-amplification and unbreakable instant party shielding are not assumed.

  • An eligible concealed ride must not carry the permits according to the cited achievement method. Reference
  • Place Mystic Spearhand shield advice at its unlock, after the opening party routine. Reference
  • TU3.2 confirms separate save types and preservation on load; the read patch notes do not establish that an inn write replaces Interim Save. Reference

Remaining verification
  • Dark Arisen coverage remains partial; several late expansion directions and hidden achievement methods need stronger evidence.
  • Exact conditional NPC behavior and late-game reward routes have not all been reproduced in a current save.

  • PowerPyx — Maister teaching locations — All twelve teacher/tome identities; three genuine books and forged alternative, affinity/follow-up.

Source transposes Mage/Sorcerer headings for Trysha/Eini; this error was rejected. Exact affinity gifts not adopted as guarantees.

  • PowerPyx — Off the Pilfered Path — Brefft disclosure, Lanzo first, release payment, Isaac/Rose openings.

Alternate Hugo death timer and gaoler payment behavior not replayed; comments disagree about failure timing.

  • PowerPyx — A Candle in the Storm — Menella/Herman/Ashe chain, fuller 25k and Ring reward, draw-weapon-and-wait player observation.

The safest no-hit method is from a player comment, not published body or current gameplay.

  • PowerPyx — The Guardian Gigantus — Gate departure, early arrow to upper body while offshore, delayed collapse.

Main article incorrectly implies arrow mandatory; correction comment supports weak-point method. Exact current reward/arm matrix not established.

  • PowerPyx — Base trophy conditions (legacy systems superseded) — Dragon sword price, Medusa head/storage/respawn method, masquerade clothes, morgue, Eternal Wakestone, griffin withdrawal flight, dungeons and illicit carriage requiring permits stored.

Older guide contains obsolete save/Portcrystal advice elsewhere; no wholesale certification. Only listed paragraphs were read.

  • Prima Games — vocation ranks for augments — All guide augment vocation/rank pairings match table; independent pawn learning.

2024 guide and no numerical benefit benchmark; current rank menu not replayed.

Before you commit: Norgan’s chain, Eir relationships and Final Proving Ground floors are not yet exhaustively routed.

Recover a missing duospear reward

Continue with the enhanced early shop weapon and check the later Dead Ringer vendor. Do not replay a fragile early incident solely because an expected reward was not acquired.

Authored coaching synthesized from this guide's existing route, builds and source bibliography. This date records the data/anchor review, not fresh verification of every linked page or hands-on gameplay. Facts are entered manually; recommendations do not read the game save, certify achievement unlocks, or cover every possible state. Existing coverage limits: The base-game route is source-checked, not verified by playing the user's installation. Event-driven NPC locations, affinity and emergent deaths can vary. Dark Arisen launched on the review date. Entry quests, Lost Rites access, relic appraisal, Direwolf Delicacy and the Beorcan key route are verified. A complete Norgan main-quest sequence, Eir/guardian outcome relationship, Final Proving Ground floors, all relic drops and exact methods for five late DLC achievements remain unverified. These gaps are labeled in their local stops and achievement entries; this is not a complete expansion walkthrough. Capcom's patch page returned HTTP 403. TU3.2 details were read through a published patch-note mirror and official Steam developer Q&A excerpts; TU4.0 existence/Hard Mode are supported by Capcom's 8 October release. A support FAQ updated 8 October still contains obsolete one-slot wording and is not used to override the patch. Capcom’s October 9 launch announcement confirms that TU4.0 Hard Mode supports an existing or new save. Exact switch restrictions and the Unmoored death/Interim Save interaction remain unverified here. This first-run route uses Normal; read the in-game confirmation before any restart or difficulty change. [R901] No claim is made that every minor chest, all 240 Seeker's Tokens, or every random pawn escort is enumerated. The guide supplies full quest chains and the 80-token/50-dungeon achievement route leads. Normal is the recommended achievement-safe setting. The guide does not promise a Casual-to-Normal switch can repair Closure on the same run, nor that the new DLC challenge permits any particular recovery item until confirmed. Dark Arisen releases on 9 October 2026. These are established base-kit recommendations with current mechanical corrections, not a solved Norgan relic meta, first-hand gameplay test or guarantee for the newly released Hard Mode. Some detailed build guides still display four slots and describe the old unbreakable barrier. Those parts were rejected. Current six shared slots, no borrowed maister skills, barrier durability and existing save-system instructions take precedence. Where a current full page did not render, Game8 equipment leads were checked through indexed item/vendor text and the existing local route. Exact future shop inventory changes, new relic skill-slot interactions and DLC damage rankings are not assumed.

YOUR PLAN · EQUIPMENT · ACHIEVEMENTS

Choose your character build

Choose a starting vocation and its later destination. Character stats grow automatically; your decisions are vocation ranks, bought skills, six augments, equipment enhancements and the three pawns supporting you. The route places vocation switches at their actual unlock quests.

Progression plan

Thief — forgiving mobile damage and theft

A strong first-run choice: quick evasions, reliable weak-point damage and Plunder rewards. Current Formless Feint still costs stamina; the plan uses deliberate dodges instead of promising permanent invulnerability.

Start with this setup
  • Start as Thief. Spend Discipline on its core movement and attack tools before buying every situational skill. Your character level rises automatically; vocation rank, purchased skills, augments and equipment are the decisions you control.
  • Make the main pawn a Mage with a Kindhearted inclination, then hire a Fighter with Shield Summons and an Archer or Sorcerer. A support Mage should bring Palladium, Halidom and a heal; a physical ranged pawn handles flying enemies and golem medals.
  • Use six late-game skills: Skull Splitter, Implicate, Smoke Shroud, Plunder, Formless Feint and Draw and Quarter. Until unlocked, use their lower-tier versions and Biting Wind/Enkindled Blades. Blades of the Pyre is a risky specialist substitution because it can harm its user.
  • Comfort augment target: Mettle, Apotropaism, Endurance, Constancy, Exaltation and Vigor. Learn them gradually during safe side quests: Fighter 2, Mage 2, Archer 4, Sorcerer 6, Mage 9 and Thief 8 respectively. Thew from Fighter 6 is a useful temporary substitute for the long Mage grind.
Preview this plan from the beginning to the endgame · 8 stages
    • Purchase usable early attacks, stay light enough to move comfortably, and attack behind the Fighter. Swift Step through or away from a telegraphed swing, then punish; do not spend your last stamina climbing.
    • Keep a physical ranged hire for harpies until Ensnare/Implicate can pull them down. Use the Mage's healing circle before the party loses more maximum health.
    • At a guild, learn Fighter rank 2 Mettle and Mage rank 2 Apotropaism, buy the augments, then equip them on Thief. The main pawn must unlock its own augments separately.
    • Take Archer to rank 4 later for Endurance while doing safe road quests. Do not change to an unfamiliar low-rank vocation immediately before a timed rescue or boss.
    • Complete the underground obstacle course and speak to Srail for Formless Feint. Flaude's aboveground reward alone does not finish this plan.
    • TU3.2 raised Formless Feint's stamina drain. A well-timed vocation action can unbalance the enemy and temporarily remove that drain; keep watching the meter and disengage before exhaustion. Use Smoke Shroud to create openings and Plunder on vulnerable targets.
    • Loot during the Coral Snakes hideout route. Their ice damage makes ordinary enemies easier to control; keep another weapon available if a target resists ice.
    • Use Implicate to topple a small enemy, then take a finisher or Plunder. On a large monster, target a reachable weak point with Skull Splitter; do not launch blindly beside a cliff.
    • For a preserved Medusa head, avoid a full party damaging her body. Use the local sleep/neck-cutting procedure and a slashing dagger attack, not indiscriminate Skull Splitter spam.
    • This is a precision achievement trip. Re-equip the usual six skills after the cut and store the preserved head promptly.
    • The Volcanic Island Armoury sells for 60,000 G. Compare them with your enhanced Frosted Edges rather than replacing elemental utility automatically. Lion-Lord's Helm, Bestial Boon and Arena Breeches are available here for this vocation.
    • Prioritize the weapon, then armor knockdown resistance. Keep enough gold for your main pawn and an inn.
    • Use a dwarven smith for knockdown-oriented weapon upgrades and armor resistance. The planned Constancy augment and sensible armor help prevent a single hit becoming a chain of interruptions.
    • A Mage with High Palladium, High Halidom, Argent Succor, High Celerity, High Levin and an appropriate affinity is a practical support hire. Celestial Paean is optional; its exhaustion can leave a support gap.
    • Heaven's Key is a postgame shop option; Dragon's Vein is the Dragonforged's dagger purchase. Choose an element and enhancement plan before spending your Wyrmslife Crystals.
    • For beacon bosses, use exposed weak points and reset your position when the creature thrashes. Carry Wakestones and curatives; Feint does not remove the Unmoored save or time risks.

Your completion route: Complete the normal campaign branch you want, enter Unmoored deliberately, resolve regional trials and all five evacuations, finish shopping, then use the final Seafloor beacon for Closure on an eligible difficulty. Dark Arisen has a separate partial-coverage limit for unresolved Norgan outcomes and relic combinations.

Changing your plan keeps your saved achievements, quest choices and checklists. Required respecs, unlocks and later equipment are explained at their route steps.

Checked 9 October 2026. Dark Arisen is a paid expansion releasing today for PC; TU4.0 accompanies it and adds Hard Mode. This guide is not based on the March 2024 launch feature set.

TU3.2 supports three separate Arisen/Main Pawn playthroughs with Autosave, Interim Save and Last Inn Rest data, plus six weapon skill slots. Read the selected campaign and timestamps before loading. The published TU3.2 notes say loading Last Inn Rest no longer deletes the other two save types; a later save or rest is still a new checkpoint, not a permanent archive.

TU3.1 introduced the reusable Eternal Ferrystone, more fixed Portcrystals and an additional Monster Culling Portcrystal. Travel instructions below use the updated system.

The official Steam roster has 60 achievements: 54 base-game entries and six Dark Arisen entries. Steam has no PlayStation platinum trophy. Closure explicitly excludes Casual Mode.

The selectable plans use accessible base-game skills and gear with current defensive nerfs accounted for. New Norgan relic gear and skills are not ranked as fully solved on launch day.

Two advanced extensions deepen the existing Warfarer and Mystic Spearhand plans. Recent community Warfarer combinations support the chosen melee/range core; older expert Spearhand recommendations are explicitly corrected by TU3.2/4.0 behavior.

Capcom's October 9, 2026 launch release confirms Dark Arisen is released and describes free Title Update 4.0. Preserve the existing revised loadout and save coverage; the detailed TU3.2 evidence is listed separately. The official English update page was inaccessible. New expansion endgame balance was not independently benchmarked one day after release; do not claim a definitive Norgan build or exhaustive new-area route from this base-campaign research.

Check confirmed platform unlocks. Untick a target to defer it. Finishing a walkthrough step never checks an achievement automatically.

First Taste of Freedom

Complete the opening escape from the excavation/slavery sequence. It is automatic story progress before Borderwatch; no side choice or special difficulty is required.

Arisen

Follow the Melve memory sequence that restores the story of the Dragon choosing you. This is early main-story progress, not a character-creation menu achievement.

Seat of the Proxy

Reach Vernworth during the opening escort/main quest. Finish the arrival conversation and the city introduction before setting out on side quests.

An In-Tents Adventure

Use a campsite with a camping kit and actually camp. Carry the kit on the player or party; standing at a fire without the camp action does not count. Camps are not inn-save checkpoints.

One Speed Only

Board an operating oxcart, such as the Vernworth–Melve service used for Oxcart Courier. Pay the driver as prompted and take your seat.

Versatile

Change to a different unlocked vocation at a guild or equivalent service. Buying a skill or merely unlocking a vocation does not count. Your chosen build can return to its original vocation afterward.

Just a Stone's Throw Away

Use a Ferrystone to travel to an activated Portcrystal. The route explains the current Eternal Ferrystone; if that item's trigger does not register on your installation, a normal Ferrystone provides the literal verified action.

Quit Playing Dead

Revive two fallen pawns simultaneously in one revival action. Approach two downed pawns lying close enough for the shared revive area and hold the action until both rise. Two unrelated single revivals are insufficient.

Myrmecoleon Delights

Enter the Rose Chateau during the Vernworth/Wilhelmina route. The official condition is entry; it does not require buying an intimate service or completing the romance.

A House? In This Economy?

Complete the house-sitting opportunity and buy Mildred's dwelling for 20,000 G, or buy another dwelling. Using the house temporarily before ownership does not satisfy purchase.

Wish upon the Rift

At a Riftstone, assign a quest to your main pawn with an affordable reward. Hiring another player's pawn or completing their quest is a different action.

Nobles' Night Out

Attend the palace masquerade wearing formal Courtly Tunic/Breeches and the required mask. Borrow/loot the attire through the city route and retain it for later noble access.

Across the Border

Pass through Checkpoint Rest Town's border gate into Battahl. Use the permit/mask procedure or the noble-cart method; a mountain bypass does not itself meet the gate condition.

A Pawn of Many Talents

Use a specialization tome on your main pawn, such as Flora's Chirurgeon reward. A vocation, inclination or purchased weapon skill is not a specialization. A later tome can replace the current specialization.

The Savior

Use a to revive a dead NPC. Carry the complete stone rather than only shards; save one for a real casualty encountered during the route. The morgue version can also contribute to Thought I'd Lost You.

The Specialist

Reach vocation rank 9 in any one vocation through combat Discipline. Character level 9 is unrelated. Stay with a chosen vocation long enough to finish its rank progression.

Affinity and Beyond

Raise one NPC to maximum affinity through quests, suitable gifts and later-day visits. Check the NPC logbook preferences; repeated same-day gifts are not a dependable substitute for progression.

Duo Destinies

Speak to Sigurd to unlock Mystic Spearhand after the Melve dragon encounter or at his later location, then actually select Mystic Spearhand at a guild. Unlocking the menu entry alone is insufficient.

Back Where It All Began

Return to Agamen Volcanic Island. The route reaches it through Drabnir's Grotto before triggering the ending, allowing the island's side quests and vocation unlocks first.

Hope You Brought a Lantern

Reach Drabnir's Grotto on the southern Battahl route. Bring lantern oil and a prepared party; this is the ordinary-world passage to Volcanic Island used before the palace departure.

This'll Cure What Ails Ye

Pay for and actually soak in the Volcanic Island Camp hot spring. Escorting Gautstafr to the entrance alone does not satisfy the bathing action.

Roost of the Dragon

Reach Dragonsbreath Tower in southwestern Battahl. Follow the Sigurd route while the normal world is still available; the arrival condition is separate from acquiring his teaching.

Arrows and Incantations

Finish Gautstafr's hot-spring escort and speak with Cliodhna to unlock Magick Archer, then select the vocation at a guild. Learn the maister tome separately for the maister checklist.

Trickster of the Trade

Speak with Luz's projection at the Reverent Shrine to unlock Trickster, then change into the vocation. Finding the real Luz's maister teaching is an additional step.

Before Dawn Breaks

Kill a Dullahan, the headless horseman. The Gregor rescue gives an early opportunity, but a retreat at dawn is not a kill; return for another night encounter if the enemy disappears.

Jack of All Trades, Master of...All Trades

Give Lamond three Newt Liqueurs during The Sotted Sage, finish his dialogue and select Warfarer at a guild. Obtain and learn for Rearmament separately.

The Regriffining

Climb onto a wild griffin and remain attached while it takes flight; the opening scripted griffin ride is the first flight. Keep stamina available and avoid killing the creature before it can launch.

Dragon's Dogma 2

Enter the Unmoored World through the empowered-blade action at the Dragon's glowing heart during the flight. Ordinary Dragon victory and taking the throne do not by themselves enter this route.

Dragon Forged

After three ordinary enhancement stages, use the Dragonforged's Wyrmfire service on a weapon. Upgrading only armor does not meet Steam's weapon condition; reserve the necessary Wyrmslife Crystals.

To the Victor Go the Spoils

Allow a scavenger thief to take an inventory item, then pursue it and reclaim the stolen property. A routine bandit kill without theft/recovery does not count. Use the local low-value-item setup.

Closure

Finish the Unmoored World's final Seafloor Shrine beacon and dragon sequence. Steam explicitly excludes Casual Mode. Complete trials, evacuations and shopping before the final beacon; a last-minute difficulty switch is not promised to repair eligibility.

A Badge of Honor

Complete one main-pawn badge's displayed requirement, such as its cyclops count. Personal kills and useful pawn quests contribute to this long-term objective; a player achievement or pawn specialization is not a badge.

Are We There Yet?

Ride the Phantom Oxcart during its investigation while disguised as a pawn by removing the indicated equipment. Following it on foot or completing an ordinary cart ride is insufficient; follow the route's boarding instructions before exposing yourself.

Thought I'd Lost You

Revive a dead NPC at a morgue or charnel house with a . Locate their coffin and perform the resurrection there. Rehiring a lost pawn is unrelated to this achievement.

I'm In

Store any Beastren Border Entry Permit and Battahl Residence Permit first. Then cross the checkpoint gate illicitly while concealed in the noble's covered oxcart. A permitted crossing, Beastren Mask alone or mountain detour is not the prescribed hidden achievement method. It can be attempted on a later crossing.

The Guardian

Evacuate the Unmoored settlements to Seafloor Shrine. This route completes all five groups—Vernworth, Sacred Arbor, Bakbattahl, Volcanic Island Camp and Excavation Site—rather than relying on a lower reported trigger threshold. Finish before the final beacon.

The Hero

Resolve the regional Unmoored trials/red-beacon threats. Reactivated Talos can handle southern threats depending on its condition; personally clear the remaining beacons. The final Seafloor Shrine beacon ends the run and is deliberately last.

Off with Its Head!

Sever Medusa's head using slashing damage to her neck/head rather than simply depleting all health through body damage. Combine this with the high-health preserved-head procedure for Getting a Head.

Full Marks

Solve all ten Sphinx riddles correctly, including the first-site five, Reunion and the randomized final-site four. Record your first token and the exact solved-riddle count; a wrong irreversible answer can require a recovery point or another cycle.

Peace

Defeat the ordinary Dragon, then remain on the throne through the coronation credits. Use the title screen's continuation to return to the throne scene afterward for the Pathfinder/Unmoored route; do not choose NG+ before that continuation.

I, Talos

Preserve usable Talos remains during the ordinary-world fight, recover your main pawn in the Unmoored World and return together to trigger reactivation. Fully destroyed or petrified remains can make this unavailable in the current cycle.

Cyclops Abridged

Lure a living cyclops into spanning a broken crossing, then traverse its body while it forms the bridge. Killing a cyclops beside an ordinary bridge is insufficient. Keep pawns from defeating it before the crossing.

Dragon's Dogma

Buy the weapon named Dragon's Dogma from the Dragonforged for 110 Wyrmslife Crystals in the postgame. This is a sword acquisition achievement, distinct from Dragon's Dogma 2 and Dragon Forged.

Gigantus, I Hardly Knew Ye

Stop Talos within its fast-defeat condition. The route uses an accurately fired while the giant is still offshore; fast destruction of all weak points is an alternative. The arrow autosaves when fired, and the award may await the actual collapse.

Harpy Joyride

Use Harpysnare Smoke Beacons to summon a harpy, grab it and rise into flight. Grabbing a random enemy harpy does not fulfill the complete stated summon-and-flight sequence.

The Tourist

Discover fifty different dungeons. Enter their areas and use the named cave checklist to add unvisited ones; ordinary town or shop discoveries are not interchangeable with Steam's current dungeon wording.

The Collector

Personally collect eighty Seeker's Tokens. Equip Trickster's Detection and follow the regional route/map leads. Keep the first-token record for the Sphinx; forged or gifted copies do not replace personal discoveries.

Getting a Head

Obtain a Preserved Medusa Head by severing it while Medusa still has very high health. Hold back uncontrolled party damage, use the local sleep/neck-cut procedure and store the head promptly; a withered ordinary head is not equivalent.

The Philanthropist

Earn affection from fifty different NPCs. Spread quest help, appropriate gifts and tavern rounds across people and later days; this is not fifty maximum-affinity romances. Confirm through the game's achievement/logbook progress.

Master of the Maisters

Acquire every base-vocation maister teaching: twelve tomes across ten vocations, including both Thief and both Sorcerer teachings. Follow the Trysha/Myrddin original-versus-forgery plan and collect follow-up dialogue rewards before final progression.

Reaper's Scorn

Use the Sphinx's Eternal to revive multiple dead NPCs in one area-wide activation. Check that its confirmation includes multiple casualties; the item is single-use despite its name. It is separate from reviving two pawns or a single morgue NPC.

The Barbecue-Maister

Cook all eight meat states once during daylight and once at night: sixteen checked combinations in the camp stop. Fresh, aged, rotten and dried states for the two meat families are distinct; cooking one family or only one time of day is insufficient.

An Eye for an Eye

Petrify Medusa using a preserved Medusa head on a later encounter, or the verified mirror-shield method. Keep the head from deteriorating and follow the respawn trip; merely acquiring the head does not count.

Plenty Arisen to Go Round

Bring two strongly attached NPCs into a dwelling you own and allow their jealousy to trigger a fight. Secure wanted affinity rewards first because the brawl can affect relationships. Two ordinary visitors are not necessarily admirers.

The Forgotten North

Own/install Dark Arisen, begin Chilling Tidings through Brant and reach Norgan. The arrival condition and opening are verified; it does not require finishing the northern story.

Dogma Defied

Dark Arisen: finish the Final Proving Ground without recovering the loss gauge. The official condition is verified, but the full floor route and which recovery effects invalidate it remain unverified. No safe-rest, or item workaround is promised.

Dogma Defended

Dark Arisen: comply with Norgan's guardian's request. Steam verifies the condition; the exact request, prerequisite sequence, ending reward and compatibility with Eir's wish are unresolved in this launch-day guide.

Strike!

Dark Arisen: destroy five vile-eye barriers in the same event. Steam specifies simultaneous barrier breaks; the exact encounter and reliable grouping/attack method are unverified. Five separate breaks should not be assumed to count.

Reunited

Dark Arisen: grant Eir's wish. The exact decisive dialogue and compatibility with the guardian's request are unverified. Preserve an intentional recovery point before a northern finale; do not assume a documented all-endings sequence exists here.

Abominable Snowstash

Dark Arisen: reclaim stolen items from the snowfoot's den. Killing a snowfoot without retrieving its stolen property is insufficient. The den location and dependable theft/retrieval sequence remain unverified.

IN CAMPAIGN ORDER

Create the Arisen, then escape

At character creation: Thief

Suggested starting plan: Thief — forgiving mobile damage and theft. Use this opening vocation for the selected plan. Your pawn and any later vocation change are introduced at their route steps.

Choose your appearance and opening vocation, then begin the excavation sequence. Your chosen advanced plan supplies a starting vocation; its later unlocks are not character-creation requirements. Vocations can change.

Normal is a straightforward first-run recommendation. Casual excludes Closure; Hard and save behavior depend on the reviewed version.

Current PC rules differ from launch guides: Title Update 3.2 supports three playthrough slots, each with Autosave, Interim Save and Last Inn Rest data. Select the correct campaign and compare timestamps before loading. Create an Interim Save before consequential choices. The published notes say loading Last Inn Rest no longer deletes Autosave or Interim Save; do not confuse loading a checkpoint with preserving it against later saves/rests. A camp is not an inn checkpoint.

Continue to . Record your first Seeker’s Token when you actually collect it; that reminder and a place to note its location appear there.

IN CAMPAIGN ORDER

Escape the excavation and establish the party

SUGGESTED PLAN · Thief — forgiving mobile damage and theft

Build the dodge habit

  • Purchase usable early attacks, stay light enough to move comfortably, and attack behind the Fighter. Swift Step through or away from a telegraphed swing, then punish; do not spend your last stamina climbing.
  • Keep a physical ranged hire for harpies until Ensnare/Implicate can pull them down. Use the Mage's healing circle before the party loses more maximum health.

Use these choices when the required level, resource or unlock is available. Opening this section does not change your character.

Compare or change your style
1. Follow the opening excavation objectives and the escape sequence. At Borderwatch, create your main pawn and hire two more at the Riftstone so your party has four members. A melee Arisen benefits from Mage healing, a front-line Fighter and a ranged attacker; a casting Arisen needs a Fighter to draw attention and physical damage for magic-resistant targets.
2. In the Rift, set a main-pawn quest with a reward you can afford. Inspect hired pawns' actual skills, weapons and specializations; renew hires as you gain levels. Favor a useful party over an expensive pawn far above your level.
3. Speak to Geoffrey for The Provisioner's Plight. Carry three Harspuds and two Salubrious Draughts to Markus north of camp, then report back. Greenwarish combined with an apple or grapes supplies an early Draught.
Help setting up the party and first supply errand

Where to look: Follow the excavation escape into Borderwatch. Complete main-pawn creation and inspect the Riftstone before beginning Geoffrey’s provision errand.

What to do: Establish the party through the available pawn interactions. Then track The Provisioner’s Plight, bring three Harspuds and two Salubrious Draughts to Markus north of camp, and report back to Geoffrey.

What should happen: Your chosen party is present and the provision errand records both delivery and report. Gathering ingredients alone does not complete the request.

If it does not work: If you need a Draught, check the Greenwarish-and-fruit recipe. If the errand remains active after the delivery, read the return objective. Finish any accepted urgent rescue before allowing unrelated errands to consume days.

Sources for this explanation
4. Accept Phill's Ordeals of a New Recruit and go south immediately to rescue Accardo from harpies. Kill the attackers, speak to him and report to Phill before continuing to Melve. Do not accept a rescue and then skip several days.
PLAY & BUILD COACHING

Early combat

Use normal attacks between skills to protect stamina. Revive a fallen pawn before its timer expires; move or stagger enemies first rather than holding the revive button under attack.

PLAY & BUILD COACHING

First-party setup for the advanced routes

Make the main pawn a Mage, then hire the two missing roles before leaving camp. Thief benefits from a Fighter and a ranged hire; the future Spearhand can lead the front line with Thief/ranged damage. Complete the nearby supply errand and Accardo rescue before taking the road to Melve.

When you find your first Seeker’s Token

5. Keep a written note of the first Seeker's Token you personally collect in this playthrough, including a map screenshot and nearby landmark. The Sphinx will send you back there under a deadline. Do this before collecting your second token.
PLAY & BUILD COACHING

First-token note to copy

Record: campaign slot; nearest settlement or riftstone; landmark; approach direction; screenshot filename. Write “first token actually collected” beside it before taking a second. The first token shown in any guide is not necessarily your first token. Keep this note for .

First Seeker’s Token and time-sensitive commitments

Your entries save with this playthrough and travel in its exported backup. Values are manual; the guide does not read the game.

Record the first token you personally pick up during this playthrough immediately. Another player’s first-token location cannot substitute for your Finder’s Token route.

Use the current version’s own load menu and the local quest warning before spending an inn rest or entering a one-way sequence. The journal records your plan; it does not create a game save.

IN CAMPAIGN ORDER

Melve supplies, memories and the northern road

1. Enter Melve and finish the dragon-memory sequence. Speak with Ulrika and Lennart, visit the inn and learn how the vocation menu works. Changing to another unlocked vocation is reversible; buy that vocation's core skills and equip the correct weapon before leaving town.
2. Outside the apothecary, give Flora one Fruit Roborant for Medicament Predicament. Buy one or combine Dried Fruit with Greenwarish. Later find her with Auriol in Vernworth's market for the Chirurgeon's Tome; use it on your main pawn to teach the specialization.
Help preparing Flora’s finished medicine

Where to look: Enter Melve and complete its arrival memory sequence before exploring the shops. Flora waits outside the apothecary for the medicine errand.

What to do: Finish the local Ulrika and Lennart conversations, then check Flora’s requested item. Obtain one Fruit Roborant and give her that finished curative.

What should happen: The arrival sequence is complete and Flora accepts the requested medicine. Carrying the ingredients is not the item hand-in.

If it does not work: If the hand-in is missing, confirm you have Fruit Roborant rather than a Salubrious Draught or uncombined ingredients. Buy one or use the listed Dried Fruit-and-Greenwarish recipe, then speak again.

3. If Ian offers Brothers Brave and Timid, accompany him north to rescue Norbert from wolves near the Backwoods Nest, then escort both brothers home. Keep within escort distance and clear the path ahead.

Before the wilderness leg: check party inventory for a camping kit. If none is carried, buy a Modest Camping Kit at Runne’s Apothecary while completing Flora’s errand. Confirm it is in the party before departure. Clear the campsite’s enemies before using it; a missing-kit prompt means checking those supplies rather than continuing another long leg.

4. Before leaving with Gregor, inspect Melve's tower and roads for accessible loot, but keep the first-token record from . Speak to NPCs again after finishing errands; some quest rewards arrive through a second conversation.
5. Follow Gregor toward the capital. At a campsite, clear nearby enemies and use a camping kit; cook available meat before resting. A camp restores the loss gauge but does not replace a Last Inn Save.

Checkpoint Camp cooking log

Keep two checkboxes per meat, day and night, from now on. The complete eight-meat list is at .
